About Us

Individual Care, Rooted in Classical Chinese Medicine

A family practice of licensed acupuncturists serving northern New Jersey from Morristown and Wayne.

Our Story

A practice built on listening

New Jersey Acupuncture & Wellness Center was founded to offer patients the best in complementary medicine — acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, medical massage and Quantum Neurology — in a setting where nobody is rushed.

The philosophy of holistic living is what first guided our founder, Ni-Fei Hsieh, to Chinese medicine. Today that same belief shapes every appointment: we use our medical knowledge not only to treat, but to guide, encourage and educate each patient toward a greater awareness of their own health and well-being.

Many of our patients arrive after trying everything else — physical therapy, injections, medication, or years of "learning to live with it." Some are referred by their neurologist, reproductive endocrinologist or primary care physician. Others find us through a friend who recovered here. Whatever brings you in, your first visit begins with a long conversation, because Chinese medicine treats the person, not just the diagnosis.

The practice was originally known online as cmHarmony — "Chinese Medicine Harmony" — a name that still describes what we work toward: harmony between body, mind and the way you live.

What Makes Us Different

Our approach to your care

01

Time with every patient

We take the time to properly assess symptoms and determine the necessary course of treatment. A first visit is usually around 90 minutes; follow-ups typically last 45–60 minutes.

02

Honest expectations

Patients often tell us they appreciated hearing the truth — how many sessions we expect, what results are realistic and when acupuncture may not be the right choice.

03

Integrative, not either-or

We work alongside your physicians, IVF clinic, physical therapist and speech therapist. Chinese medicine complements Western care — it does not ask you to abandon it.

04

The whole toolkit

Acupuncture, scalp acupuncture, herbs, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, Tui Na, auricular medicine, electro-stimulation and infrared heat — chosen for you.

05

Lifestyle guidance

Treatment plans include dietary recommendations, home exercises and self-care such as moxibustion or herbal teas, so progress continues between visits.

06

Safe, sterile, licensed

We use only sterile, single-use disposable needles. Both practitioners are NCCAOM board-certified and licensed by the State of New Jersey.

Inside the Clinic

Quiet rooms, unhurried care

Our Morristown office sits in a converted house on East Hanover Avenue, with a private rear entrance and its own parking lot. Treatment rooms are calm and private: during a session you rest under a warm infrared heat lamp, with soft ocean sounds and the lights on or off — your choice. More than one patient has told us they nearly fell asleep on the table.

Our second office, on Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne, serves patients in Passaic County and the surrounding area during weekday hours.

  • Private treatment rooms with infrared heat lamps
  • On-site parking at the Morristown office
  • Evening hours until 8 PM Monday–Thursday and Saturday mornings in Morristown
  • Home visits may be arranged for patients with limited mobility, such as after a stroke
Why Traditional Chinese Medicine

An ancient system, increasingly recognized

From sharpened stones used as early as 6000 BCE to the tattoo marks found on the 5,300-year-old "Iceman," acupuncture has existed for thousands of years. Today the World Health Organization lists more than 40 conditions for which acupuncture and TCM may be used, and most WHO member states recognize acupuncture practice. In the U.S., the National Institutes of Health and the American Medical Association have noted acupuncture can be helpful for a variety of conditions.

Acupuncture in the United States is a highly regulated profession. More than 40 states and the District of Columbia recognize it, and licensed acupuncturists complete a Master's-level program of roughly 3,000 hours — far more than the 300 hours of "medical acupuncture" training typically completed by other providers.

"His methods are simple, traditional and effective, and he has an excellent grounding in acupuncture and Chinese medicine."
