Auricular Medicine & Quantum Neurology
Two specialized, gentle approaches for patients who want — or need — options beyond conventional needling.
At a glance
- Auricular medicine
- A needle-less method of diagnosing and treating through points on the ear, used for more than 200 medical conditions.
- Quantum Neurology
- Nervous-system rehabilitation using neurological activation, physical mobilization and light therapy.
- Good for
- Needle-sensitive patients, tinnitus and hearing loss, headache, sinusitis, anxiety, depression, addiction, pain, blood pressure regulation and neurological recovery.
- Practitioner
- Ni-Fei Hsieh, L.Ac. — Auricular Medicine specialist, trained in Quantum Neurology.
The ear as a map of the whole body
Auricular medicine treats the outer ear as a "microsystem" — a small map on which every region and organ of the body is represented. Changes in sensitivity and response at specific ear points help identify where the body is out of balance, and stimulating those points helps restore it.
The approach Ni-Fei practices is a needle-less method of both diagnosis and treatment, applied to more than 200 medical conditions. It is particularly valuable for patients who are anxious about needles, for children and for conditions where the ear connects directly to the problem — such as tinnitus and hearing loss.
Conditions often addressed
- Hearing loss & tinnitus
- Headache
- Sinusitis
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Acute & chronic pain
- Addiction & smoking
- High or low blood pressure
Ear points can also be used together with body acupuncture — ear seeds or small press pellets may be applied so you can stimulate the points at home between visits.
Rehabilitating the nervous system
Quantum Neurology is a method of rehabilitating the nervous system by exercising and strengthening it. It incorporates neurological activation, physical mobilization and light therapy to restore communication between nerves and the muscles and organs they control.
The principle is simple: the more efficient the nervous system, the better the body can handle the stress of processing and healing. After an injury, surgery, stroke or long illness, nerves can "go quiet." Re-activating them supports strength, coordination and balance and can make other treatments — including acupuncture and physical therapy — more effective.
- Assessment of individual nerve and muscle responses
- Neurological activation and light therapy to stimulate under-performing pathways
- Physical mobilization to integrate the change into real movement
